EARLY SETTLER HEARS THE LAST SUMMONS

Jacob Kinzer died Saturday – Funeral Service from Baptist Church on Last Monday

Jacob Kinzer passed away at the Physician’s hospital Saturday.

He was born in Highland County, Ohio, February 3, 1846, where he grew to manhood. In early life he was handicapped by losing his right arm while at work in a lead mine in Nevada. He contracted lead poisoning, necessitating the amputation of his arm and undermining his general health to a great extent.

But notwithstanding this, through the greater part of his life time he labored at carpentering, painting and farm work, doing his best, despite his serious handicap.

He came to Boone county about thirty-six years ago, living here all that time with the exception of two years in California. He has as his closest relatives a few nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from the Baptist church, Monday, conducted by Rev. Clark, and the body laid to rest in Rose Hill.
