Khubsurat Ruh (Enlightened Spirit), under the leadership of , Mary Krasnow and Natasha Krasnow, has been an active dance troupe in the Grand Junction Community for many years. Our purpose is to help preserve this ancient tradition by offering authentic Middle Eastern dance to students and to audiences. The dance is about finding, feeding and expressing your gift of spirit. We believe that dance strengthens the inner beauty you can bring to the lives of family, friends, and the people you love, because it brings you into balance with your self. We offer a wide variety of dance stylings from ethnic to Cabaret (nightclub). The costumes worn by the group are especially crafted to facilitate the magical experience of this dance form, and are made, in many cases, by the dancers themselves. Sometime, months are required to complete a single costume. The process can be painstaking, but the result is a work of art, unique in creation, as unique as each of our dancers. We can provide programs tailored to meet the particular needs of special occasions or events.
